About Animal Medical Center of McKinney
At Animal Medical Center of McKinney we take great pride in our ability to ensure that all pets and their caretakers feel comfortable and at ease while in our care. We have a very loyal client base and have enjoyed caring for companion pets in and around McKinney since 1991. Pets are more than patients to us ~ they are part of the family! We know that good communication is the foundation of any successful relationship. As such, we believe that our pet caretakers must be well-informed and understand treatments in order to choose the best options for their pets. Medical jargon and terminology can be hard to comprehend, especially when dealing with a sick or injured pet. Dr. Hickman and the AMC staff are extremely skilled at putting these often confusing terms into language that is easier for pet providers to understand.
Pets of all species are welcome here. A unique feature of our clinic is the existence of the Nature Center at Animal Medical Center housed within the building. This center has become home for many unwanted and un-adoptable exotic pets through the years. Snakes, lizards, turtles, fish, birds, bunnies, chinchillas, rodents, monkeys and even an alligator or two have all called the Nature Center home--some temporarily, some permanently.
