Modern hospital seeks a third, full-time Veterinarian for our steadily growing practice. This facility opened as a grass roots, full-service hospital in 2010 and we've already outgrown our 3,600 square foot floor plan and our existing 2-doctor staffing level. Building expansion is in the advanced planning stages and will incorporate additional exam rooms, a second surgery suite, and a few other important features. Our gross practice revenue and client base have consistently increased from 12% to 15% annually over the past 5-year period.
We're located in the mountains of beautiful western North Carolina and yet we're less than 5 hours away from the coast. Camping, skiing, hiking, golfing, fishing, kayaking and a wide variety of other outdoor activities are readily available in the immediate area. Additional entertainment options more typically associated with large cities are frequently available in Asheville or Charlotte, both within easy driving distance.
We provide a full-array of veterinary services and patient care including comprehensive orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. We serve 80% canine & feline patients and 20% exotic species of a great variety. Our hospital delivers high quality veterinary services and wellness care for our patients in a fear-free environment. We strive to provide compassionate treatment for our patients and friendly respect for our clients. A strong commitment to provide uncompromised client education is fundamental to our practice philosophy and is reflected in our policy of standard 30-minute appointment blocks. We've put together a truly exceptional support staff that allow our doctors to focus on their own responsibilities thus allowing them to perform their duties efficiently, effectively and expeditiously.
We're looking for an exceptional individual with the personal qualities and uncommon drive needed to match the challenging performance objectives of this practice. Individuals with experience and excellent surgical skills will be given preferential consideration. We're seeking a unique Veterinarian with the aptitude, experience, work ethic, and personal drive to achieve excellence and to continuously improve. It will take a rare individual with the right combination of talent and personal integrity to meet the needs of this position.
The current practice owner is planning to retire within the next 10 years at most. Our objective is to find the best possible candidate with the skills and passion needed to carry the success of this Veterinary Hospital into the future. We've earned a reputation for excellence by consistently delivering successful outcomes with difficult medical and surgical cases. That reputation has been earned through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We seek an exceptionally gifted and mature Veterinarian with a legitimate interest in practice ownership. This position offers a genuine buy-in/buy-out opportunity for a well-qualified candidate within the expected time frame.
