VCA Canada Western Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Centre in Calgary is looking for an Emergency Veterinarian to join our dedicated pet health care team.

Our emergency doctors work on a rotating schedule, allowing everyone to work a portion of days, nights, weekdays and weekends. The schedule also provides for adequate time off between blocks of shifts, allowing our doctors a work-life balance.
Our team includes specialists in Critical Care, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Surgery, Internal medicine and Radiology, along with rehabilitation services and 24-hour emergency care. Our hospital culture fosters teamwork and camaraderie that naturally leads to delivering exceptional service to our clients, referring veterinarians and our community.
We pride ourselves in providing state of the art veterinary care in a hospital well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, fluoroscopy, CT scanner, a complete on-site diagnostic laboratory, positive-pressure ventilation and a beautiful new ICU with cage-side monitoring equipment. In addition, our talented surgeons are able to perform minimally invasive laparoscopic and interventional procedures.

As our ideal Candidate, you have:
A valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada
Strong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude
Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
Exemplary customer service that builds loyalty and trust with your clients
Strong organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure
The drive and ability to help train and mentor students and ICU technicians
